Notes - SOLVED ERROR: Page 7 of 'Captain Bill', Book Three, 1990, by Robert J,Stevens, says: '[Sarah Edwards] Married William 'Blacksmith Billy'Walker, born 1781, CC [Chester County, SC], died 11/14/1834, a son ofJohn A. Gaston Walker, and grandson of Alexander and Esther (Gaston)Walker, Billy Walker was murdered by John Ferguson, who hung for thecrime.' Esther Gaston is one of the children of John Gaston and EstherWaugh, whose children, with their birth dates, are listed in 'HeritageHistory of Chester County, South Carolina', 1982. Esther Gaston was bornon October 15, 1760. She cannot have grandchildren born in 1781. Sincenone of her children are listed in the article which gives her birthdate, I am leaving the parents of John A. Gaston Walker blank. (LawrenceGlenn Hardin - 1996) Buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Fort Lawn, Chester Co., SC, Page 247 of 'Heritage History of Chester County, South Carolina, Vol.II', 1995, says that John Alexander Gaston Walker was born in1780 and hada son, William 'Blacksmith Billy' Walker, born in 1798 and died on 14November 1834. This solves the error.
