Notes - Parents unknown The Basses were members of the Church of England and 14 of their 15children were baptized in St. Gabriel's and St. Helen's Bishopsgate inLondon. The baptismal record for their son Samuel was not located ineither church, however, he was named as a son in Humphrey's will.Humphrey and Mary died within a month of each other and are buried in theNunnery at St. Helen's, Bishopgate, London, England. The nunnery wasdestroyed by fire in 1799. In his will, Humphrey mentions his wife andnine of his children.
