  • Notes
    • Accoring to McLeod, Stovall, Hinkle and Allied Families by Daniel Peterson, Richard was born in 1892. However, according to the 1900 census, his parents were married in about 1895 and had Ruby as the only child. The census indicated one child and one living child. Also, the census taker lived next door to the Barnhills, so the information is probably accurate. In the 1910 census, Richard is listed as 7 years old, so his probable birthdate is in 1902.
