Married
At 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schoenthal on Avenue C, occurred the marriage of Miss Nadine Napton, of Eden, and Mr. Henry E. Gundelfinger, of Hazelton.
Before the ceremony Miss Margaret Maxwell sang "'Twas April" and "Thou Are My All" with violin obligato by Mr. Mannon. To the soft strains of the "Wedding March" the bridal party reached the altar through the aisle of ribbon bearers, Miss Jessie Dentler, of Eden, Miss Alice Piper, Miss Bessia Brower and Miss Ruth Gerboth. Little Miss Sybil Pearce bearing the ring in the heart of a rose and little Miss Valeta L'Herisson as flower girl preceded the bride who, with her sister, Miss Mary Napton, as bride's maid, met the groom and his best man, Mr. Harvey Hurlebaus.
Here beneath a wedding bell of smilax and white carnations the beautiful and impressive ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. J. M. Anderson, of Twin Falls, in the presence of only the relatives and a few intimate friends.
After congratulations the guests sat down to a two-course luncheon, and soon after the happy couple left for a honey-moon in Salt Lake City via Twin Falls.
The bride's wedding gown was robin's egg blue silk with chiffon, and her going away gown was of dark green. The bride's maid was in pink and white. The color scheme of green and white was used throughout the decorations and refreshments.
The bride carried a shower boquet of sweet peas, roses and lillies of the valley, while the brides maid's boquet was pink roses.
Many handsome and useful presents were received. After a short trip the young people will be at home in Hazelton, where the groom is cashier of the Hazelton State bank. |
